VMM 2012 Virtual Machine Manager Cmdlet Reference

With System Center 2012, VMM has released a major version of the product.  Looking at the amount of PowerShell cmdlets now provided in the product shows how rich the product has become.
With VMM 2008 R2 SP1 we had 162 PS cmdlets at our disposal.  Now, with VMM 2012 we have 442 cmdlets.  And with VMM 2012 SP1 around the corner, you can expect some more cmdlets to come…

System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager – Evaluation VHD

Use this pre-configured virtual hard disk (VHD) to create a virtual machine that runs System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) so that you can evaluate the features of VMM.
The VHD has all the necessary software already installed (WAIK, WebDeploy, SQL Server 2008 R2).

Instructions

  • Download the self-extracting VMM.EVALVHD.part01.exe file and the all other “.rar” files
  • Download the Evaluating System Center 2012 – Virtual Machine Manager by Using a Pre-Configured VHD.docx step-by-step instructions for how to use the VHD to create a virtual machine
  • Place all downloaded files in the same directory
  • Double-click the self-extracting VMM.EVALVHD.part01.exe file to extract the VHD file
  • Follow the instructions on the “Evaluating System Center 2012 – Virtual Machine Manager by Using a Pre-Configured VHD.docx” file to complete the setup of VMM
