You need to open the HP bladesystem enclosure monitoring manager as an Administrator. Otherwise you will have the following error:
“hp bladesystem enclosure monitoring manager requested registry access is not allowed”

Special thanks to Shay Levy for pointing this out.

If you want to use the latest HP blade management pack 1.40 you need to install or upgrade your HP proliant MP first to the same version 1.40.

The documentation doesn’t really say but it’s crucial. If you don’t install the Proliant mp first the Blade System MP installer will not import the blade management pack or even install it locally.
thanks,

Just imported the HP Proliant management pack for SCOM 2007 and hade a lot of servers in warning state even if nothing was wrong in the Insight homepage.
So I opened the healthexplorer and found RealtimeMonitors_SNMP.FailedComponent Auto Server Recovery 0 in warning state.

After investigating I found that problem was that the ASR was not configured on some servers and needs to be enable.

Hope this helps,

In a previous blogpost I already mentioned that Alain Cote has developped a HP EVA performance management pack.
Alain has continued to improve his management pack and wow we have an update with:
- better discovery
- a controller processor monitor
- and a report
You can get the HP EVA performance management pack V2 here.
Thanks Alain for sharing this with the community!
Have fun,

Alain Côté has written his own HP EVA management pack! This Management pack will monitor the performance of an HP EVA, the official HP Storage MP only does alerting.
This Management pack is based on the evaperf.exe command and has several collection rules, diagnostic task and one monitor for the latency.
The management pack assumes evaperf.exe is in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\EVA Performance Monitor and is configured properly.
