Belgium System Center Day : Agenda

6:54 am in Belgian System Center Day by Kenny Buntinx [MVP]

Last year we did a SCUG.Be user group session with Wally Mead and it was a great success . http://scug.be/blogs/sccm/archive/2009/10/27/attend-this-sccm-event-with-wally-mead-and-3-belgian-system-center-mvp-s.aspx

I am very excited to announce that we are going to organize a new SCUG.Be event in Belgium on the 3thd of November called :”Belgium System Center Day“. For this occasion we have some top international speakers like Wally Mead, Travis Wright, Jason Buffington, 4 Belgium System Center MVP’s and other System Center Experts and that’s why the event will also be held in a special place http://events.livingtomorrow.be/

This event will also be your opportunity to socialize with fellow System Center administrators and consultants , meet with one of the most popular Microsoft speakers of all time and have a nice lunch with the 4 Belgian System Center MVP’s and the System Center product managers! One thing is certain , Wally Mead is back :-)

I will deliver a presentation called : Configuration Manager 2007 R3 Power management  : Lessons learned from the field

Session Abstract :

The R3 release covers some very cool new features and one feature I can share is that this release covers power management for your clients.

This will reduce your energy consumption which saves you costs and you build a Greener IT environment. But talking about the feature is something different than implementing it .

In this session we will talk about best practices when implementing the R3 power management features, build on the experience that we had during one of my customers R3 TAP program.

Release of the Virtual Machine Servicing Tool (VMST) 3.0

12:56 pm in Uncategorized by Kenny Buntinx [MVP]

This release of the Virtual Machine Servicing Tool (VMST) 3.0 completely replaces the Offline Virtual Machine Servicing Tool version 2.1.

VMST 3.0 helps customers reduce IT costs by making it easier to update their offline virtual machines, templates, and virtual hard disks with the latest operating system and application patches—without introducing vulnerabilities into their IT infrastructure.

Version 3.0 of the tool works with System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2, and Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP2. The tool also supports updating the Windows® 7 and Windows Server® 2008 R2 operating systems.

For all the details and to download the Virtual Machine Servicing Tool (VMST) 3.0 click here.

Hope it Helps ,
