System Center Night 23/04: Spring 2015 edition: The sessions

8:53 pm in events by Dieter Wijckmans

During feedback of our previous System Center night events we heard a lot of feedback concerning various topics. First of all we LOVE feedback.

893837-spring-photos-hd

It gives us the opportunity to even further tailor our evenings for your liking.

The 2 sessions for the System Center Night on 23th of April actually came out of this feedback:

“We need more sessions with notes from the field so we can instantly use it in our day to day work”

The 2 sessions on this evening will do just that. They will be packed with tips and tricks you can instantly use in your day to day work to even further explore the vast power of system center in your environment and experience new features you would not have noticed before.

This is the list of sessions for the System Center night 23/04:

Track: ECM

Speaker: Kim Oppalfens

Title: Configmgr Software updates – inside out

Abstract: Learn about the ins and outs of software updates from a seasoned ConfigMgr consultant. Software updates in Configuration Manager is based on WSUS and Configuration Items in Configuration Manager 2012. CI’s and state message based deployments can be somewhat challenging to get right and troubleshoot. Come and explore the inner workings of software updates with us during this evening session.

Track: CDM

Speaker: Dieter Wijckmans

Title: Monitorinception: Monitor your monitoring environment

Abstract: A monitoring environment is always judged by its ability to tell you when something is wrong. Preferably even when something is about to go wrong. We all know how many work you need to put in your monitoring environment to carefully monitor everything. Would be a shame to see it all go down the drain when disaster strikes at your company and SCOM was unable to alert due to itself being impacted due to bad maintenance. Check out this session to find out tips and tricks from the field to monitor your monitoring environment.

System Center Indian Summer night: The sessions!

9:37 pm in events by Dieter Wijckmans

On the 1st of October we will have another cool evening for you organized to get in touch with fellow sysctr admins and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and experience. Of course from our side we have lined up 2 top speakers again who will give you an in depth session on a Sysctr related topic. Based on their experience they gained in the real world they highlight new features and techniques to even further enhance you System Center knowledge.

Nature_Seasons_Autumn_Indian_summer_034865_

The first session of the evening will be organized by Jan Van Meirvenne.

SCOM authoring 2012: picking the right tool for the right job

With the 2007 authoring console becoming obsolete, there are few new options to create management packs from scratch but the VSAE. How easy is it to use our obtained skills with this new tool? Do I need to hire a developer (oh the agony!), or is this something that I can use? This session will provide you a glimpse of the power and features of this all new way of building your monitoring workloads, without requiring you to jump ship and go total developer.

This is a must go session if you are struggling with authoring for authoring SCOM now the console is gone!

The second session of the evening will be organized by Jason Sandys:

HTTPS Client communication and IBCM

HTTPS client communication enables other features within ConfigMgr including IBCM and Mac OSX support and also increases the security of client communication. The pre-requisite for HTTPS client communication and implementing HTTPS client communication is simple, right? Well, as many have found out, the added complexity of a PKI and certificates makes this task much more complex than it appears at first. This webcast will cover the not-so-basics along with the multiple possible pitfalls when implementing HTTPS client communication in ConfigMgr.

A not to miss session if you want to strenghten your communication with devices which are out and about.

Make sure to reserve your seat on our eventbrite page as seats are going fast and are limited!
