Unable to import a license into the Opalis Integration Server License Manager

The importing of a license in Opalis doesn’t always run smoothly.  In part III of my “how to install Opalis” blog post, the importing of the license into the Opalis License manager failed saying that the License manager couldn’t connect to the management server.

So the thing is to make sure that the account you used as the Opalis service account has the correct permissions on the database. In my case the account “contoso\svc_opalis” didn’t had the correct permissions to connect to the database.

But you can encounter a lot more issues regarding the importing of licenses with the Opalis License Manager and Microsoft have published a KB 2022625 with different scenarios and how to solve them.

Great work Microsoft.

Hope this helps,
